CRIMSON TECHNOLOGY, Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Kazuo Hikawa, CEO) has started to deliver the license of software based synthesizer library for iPhone™ and iPod® touch of Apple Inc. (USA).
By integrating this library, playback capability of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files or musical instrument playability will be added on iPhone and iPod touch.
Especially, by combining the rich sound functionality provided by this library and the excellent user interface with iPhone and iPod touch, it is possible to integrate a realtime music performance and / or MIDI file sound playback capability in user application program resulting a big differential advantage to the others.
As this library is based on the DLS (Downloadable Sounds) standard format, in addition to the capability to play the MIDI contents such as Karaoke and so on, this library also can incorporate any kind of additional sounds due to the DLS file format.
CRIMSON TECHNOLOGY, Inc. will provide the license of this library and is planning to develop and sell various applications utilizing this library.
